How about a joke; I am so close to qualifying for the gift card and people seem to love my thread if the number of views means anything -- might be record rate.

Man buys a hot dog from a Budhist street vendor and hands him $20 and asks for change. The vendor answers "Change comes from within".

Sometimes I like to tune in to ministries. Recently I heard it's a good idea to keep asking God to do good on his promises. Did he promise you a gift card? If so, keep reminding him. This should bring the desired results.

"This general agreement—that the theory of evolution could be reconciled with orthodox Christianity—waned only slightly with the rise of Christian fundamentalism in the early 1900s (before being completely obliterated in the 1920s). The fundamentalist movement arose out of widespread anxiety over modern challenges to Christian belier. Universities, once ruled by evangelical doctrine, gradually began Jettisoning supernatural beliefs around the turn or century. German higher criticism questioned the accuracy of the Bible. Theological liberalism was infiltrating mainstream churches. In response to these challenges, evangelical leaders produced The Fundamentals, a collection of essays setting forth what they viewed as the essential doctrines of Christianity. The essays, published from 1910 to 1915, featured articles from a wide range of scholars. Three million copies were distributed to evangelicals across the United States, and the collection became the founding document of the Christian fundamentalist movement. Four contributors to The Fundamentals wrote articles on evolution. Two of them supported it."
