Fear
« on: May 17, 2007, 09:10:04 AM »
Hello everyone;

I have posted on here in the past about depression, anxiety, my sons death, my moms death...and so with all of this learned I have developed sucha huge state of FEAR. I feel like my mind goes a 100miles an hour every day and I fear that Im going to stroke out. I worry about my son here, will something happen to him. Thats probably my number one fear, second I fear death. Im a Christian woman (43 yrs old) but even though Im a believer, I fear what is after death. I fear what Ill die of, I fear losing my new husband, I fear that I have some disease...( I have stomach problems and tachycardia, pvc's,) I just worry every day...I work my self into a panic, I feel like Im almost to a state of paranoid. But, I take Ativan when I feel I really need it. Not around the clock. But I hate feeling like this. I have started seeing a therapist. He says that I definitely have PTSD. We are suppose to start a therapy called EDMR. Anyone heard of or done this???? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

You could PM Kiara.  She has done this type of therapy and says it is working well for her.   :happy0151:

I did EMDR about four years ago. I did it on a few specific things with people. I was actually thinking about this the other day and I cannot remember what it was that happened so bad that we did the EMDR sessions on so I would have to say YES it worked for me. I only remember bits and pieces and I would do it all over again.
