Question for GERD/IBS/Gastritis/ulcer sufferers
« on: June 11, 2011, 03:08:36 PM »
I have had some burning in my stomach below the breasts.  It's mostly just a gnawing feeling now that I am on the prilosec and only once or twice I may feel it a bit.  But my stomach still rumbles a LOT all throughout the day.  And I have such back pain up between my shoulder blades and THIS HURTS. At times I feel it in my neck and even down my arms (yes, my heart has been checked). I wonder if any one else has this and does it ever go away??  I'm getting awfully discouraged due to this burning/aching back pain I get periodically throughout the day.    The weird part is that it isn't constant and I move a certain way and feel the pain. I can do the same thing 5 min. later and feel nothing.  I'm tired from the pain and stress of it.  I am eating like a bird, thinking it'll heal eventually and I'll feel like myself again.  It's been five months....

I am waiting for the results from an upper GI from last week.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

I had the same thing.

First, we thought it was gallbladder problems, which i had. But, after the surgery, i still had some symptoms.

It was bile reflux.

Were you able to get the back pain to go?  I have it daily.  I am eating bland non-acidic food and I can't figure out what the heck I'm doing wrong.  The pain is tiring and depressing, and while I AM a HA worrier, I don't tend to get depressed.  This daily pain is gettin' me down.

Unfortunately, the back pain is still there.  It doesn't last but a half hour. At this time im usually tired for some reason. But i guess because i know exactly what is causing the pain, it is the reason it doesn't last long.

I was just diagnosed with gastritis after my upper endoscopy on Monday.  I get the same thing randomly and it appears to be normal with GERD and gastritis.
