muscle twitches
« on: May 13, 2007, 09:00:30 PM »
I have been experiencing a lot of muscle twitches lately.  In my arms, legs, even shoulders.  It is freaking me out a little!  Anyone else get this?  Can this be an anxiety symptom?  I also get shooting pains in my arm and legs.  It seems like my legs feel very stiff lately, like I am going to get a bunch of charlie horses or something!  Help Please!

This is VERY common with anxiety.

Your muscle tissue is tense and irritable.
Relaxation, plenty of fluids, good electrolytes intake.

Most of all address the anxiety.

Of all the things that I've moved past in this journey, the muscle phenomenon still happen, though not nearly as often. It's one of those things that probably was happening to a small degree all along, but when our attention finds its way to a specific body area....you know what happens

Like that one guy said, everyone twitches relatively frequently. They just are not as in tune with our bodies as we are. Thus the twitches feel stronger and are more noticeable to us.

I twitch all the time, and also get the occasional stiffness, calve cramping and weird feeling in my toes.  I hope its all anxiety related!  I find taking magnesium and drinking a lot of water helps a  bit.....

I twich all the time.....especially in my abdominal area.  I heard that muscle twitches are a way of your body telling you that that you are stressed.

It could be a number of issues: stress/anxiety, fatigue, or stimulants are all likely culprits.
