back from the doc... here is the news (female issue)

so guys, yesterday i posted about fear of cervical cancer due to some spotting and slightly painful urination.  the dr. said everything looked great (knock on wood, the hoo ha and the cervix), but she did look at the discharge under a micro and said i had bacterial vaginosis!  i had that years ago when i had just had my baby and swore that it never went away after treatment.  the dr just said it comes and goes and there's not a lot you can do about it.  i don't understand it at all.  thankfully, i don't have any odor or other issues that most have with it.  what's confusing about it to me is what the heck causes it??  i don't have multiple sex partners and have been with my husband for a while.  it is not an STD is what my understanding, but why does it happen to some and not others?

SO WIERD!!! anyway, i don't like that i have this, but am relieved it's not worse, knock on wood.

Glad you got some outstanding results!!!  It's just a bacterial infection, plain and simple.  It's more scary because it's in the lady parts...anytime something is "off" down there, it's a little more nervewracking IMO.

I believe it can be caused by abnormal ph levels down there, which alot of women have. Exames are not going to the restroom after you have intercourse amd he you know whats inside of you. Having spermies in there messes with the normal ph levels in there. My doc told me to take acidphouls (sp) and eat alot of yogurt. Also there is a peroxide flush you can do. You can find that on google by putting peroxide and bv. Also there is a product called repfresh that I have heard good things about. Also, alot of acid in the diet can mess with ph levels. Bv is nothing serious, just more annoying than anything!! Hope this helps!!

So glad to hear the doctor could deliver the news that your hoo haa  and cervix are fine! Just be sure to get annual paps!!! This should ease some worry! :)
