Of all the things going on in my life... hypochondria is not one of them.

I have every symptom of a highly disabled anxiety ridden crazy person.... but I am not scared of getting sick.

I used to be scared of it.

I think at this point I have been through so much, that one more thing wouldn't hurt me.

I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia a few days ago and I didn't seem to care.... well I've always cared!

Maybe this is a small step to getting better... who knows?

What are the symptoms of fibromalgyia?  Just wondered if I could add it to my list aswell, I always have aching muscles and back pain of which there doesnt seem to be any cause, I even bought a new mattress and that hasnt helped either, maybe my muscles ache because I am so tense all the time.

For me it feels kind of like tendinitis all over my body. I get swollen toes and fingers sometimes.

You should def. go to the doctor and talk to them because a lot of times they say it's the Fibro that causes anxiety.

There is no real way for them to test you for it. It's more like a process of elimination.

well I am not aware of any swelling of fingers and toes.  However, I do have constant aches, pains, muscle fatigue etc.  But maybe it is anxiety and not fibromalgyia.  I get the impression there is not a lot that can be done about Fibro?

I did not know I had Fibro either.  Blamed my muscle pain on tense muscles. 

It helps to know what I have, but yes there is not much that can be done.  Muscle relaxors and pain meds can be used but often dont help.  Alternative things like acupuncture, massage therapy and chiropractics are done as well.  I am doing several things myself and am currently in a good state with little pain, altho I still have bad days.
