waking up hrs before the alarm

I sometimes wake up as much as 2 hrs before my alarm goes off at 7:30. I wake up feeling physically anxious. I try to do meditation and/or journaling right before I go to bed so that I'm not bringing (as much) anxiety to sleep with me. At least even when I wake up early, I've still gotten about 6 hrs of sleep, so that's not too bad. I'd rather get 7 to 8 though.

I used to be such a late sleeper. I could stay up very late at night and sleep until noon. Definitely not like that anymore. My mom says not to worry about it because I'm not in that teenage/adolescent phase where you sleep late and long hours (I'm 25 now). I don't know....

Any tips on how to be able to sleep up until my alarm goes off?

If I am stressed I do that too.  Or if I am not too sleepy when I go to bed.  I worry in my sleep and keep tossing and turning.  Only taking klonopin ahs helped lately by reducing worry during my sleep.  My mom always wakes up way before her alarm also.  She got very upset about it today.
