weird stuff with eyes
« on: March 23, 2011, 07:19:58 PM »
So for the past few days when I put my contacts in, my vision has felt weak. Not blurry or anything, just weak. Also about two or three weeks ago, I had this little episode where I took my contacts out and my vision was blurry for about 30 minutes. I don't know if it was dry eye, (I had had my contacts in for 3 days without taking them out) or maybe my eyes were just tired.  I am getting over a bad sinus infection, and I have had problems the past week with sinus pressure. I have also been scared about a brain tumor for about 10 months now due to headaches, and eye floaters, and am worried that the vision problems are like the next step. Can anybody help, or am I just connecting dots that should not be correlating?

Oh and just another thing...I had an eye exam in August, at the height of all of my symptoms and anxiety. Everything was fine and he told me my eyes were very healthy. If it was anything major, something would have shown up at this eye exam seeing that you are only suppose to get one every two years right?

Ive worn contacts for a number of years and I get blurry vision alot. I actually have two floaters one in each eye and my eye doctor who is a  family friend also says they are perfectly normal. Alot of time when I take my lenses out from prolonged use the eye does get very dry and its blurry for a while, espcially when you sleep in them lol. What they did at the exam im sure is have your eyes dilated which allows the eye doctor to see any tumors or problems in the eye so you are perfectly okay. I actually a few months ago felt a small bump on my right eye which turned out to be nothing more then an allergy. Point is everything you have described are common things in most. Try to remember that its perfectly normal and that by having these frequent checks it would eliminate any problems that may go unnoticed otherwise :)
