Overwhelming Anxiety
« on: March 03, 2011, 12:29:29 AM »
I have OCD, depression and anxiety.  Celexa works great for my OCD.  That still leaves me with depression and anxiety.  The anxiety was under control with klonapin, vistaril and risperdal for over 10 years.  Last October the anxiety came back really bad so I went up to 3 mg. of risperdal.  That worked, but after several weeks on that dose I was beyond constipated and slept so soundly that I wet the bed a couple times.  So now I'm trying zyprexa.  Years ago when my anxiety wasn't so bad I could use it interchanablely with risperdal.  I started on 2.5 mg. of the zyprexa and that wasn't doing the trick so I've been at 5 mg. for 4 days.  Since then my stomach feels like its on fire, I wake up with a bad headache and I'm still a nervous wreck.  Does anyone have any suggestions of what to try?  I'm running out of options.  Does anyone have any experience using abilify for anxiety?  Any other ideas?
Any input would be appreciated.

Hello 'bluerose

I think only a qualified professional such as your GP or Psychiatrist can make that determination for you!  As you know, many people respond differently to different medication!  I use Doxepin, and it has worked incredible for me!  It might not work well for you!  Regardless of what people suggest, at best, what you will hear from their replies is just what worked best for THEM!  Good Luck!

It's not what's happening to you now or what has happened in your past that determines who you become. Rather, it's your decisions about what to focus on, what things mean to you, and what you're going to do about them that will determine your ultimate destiny.
