Clonazepam Tablets look different

Hey Everyone,
I take clonazepam .5mg daily for anxiety and sleep.  I just got my prescription refilled and the pills are different.  They used to be yellow and say 93 832 on the pill now they say TEVA on one side and 832 on the other.  This gives me such anxiety, has anyone had the same change and confirmed they are the right pill?  If so does it work the same?

TEVA are one of the biggest makers of tablets out there. Their products are safe. They make almost every form of medication there is. If you still feel in doubt phone your chemist and ask them. I am sure that they maybe just began adding ther name to their products. You will be fine.

According to the TEVA web site, the round yellow pill with 832 on one side and TEVA on the other side is a .5 mg Clonazepam tablet.  This is the pill that was formerly imprinted 93 on one side and 832 on the other, according to the web site.

Since this is simply a new marking on the same pill, it makes sense that it would work the same way.

If this happens again, the quickest way to get an answer is to call the pharmacy where you picked up your refill.

Hey there,

I went thru' same aggro when color of my clonazapam tablet changed.  Funny now, but I made a frantic call to pharmacy as thought they had given me wrong pill:).  Found out what cuch and gma said.  Different manufacturer....don't remember who now.   It is very same chemical.   

Now to check the value of TEVA stock...heh.

According to my wife who has been a pharmacist for over 25 years, many
prescription medications may look different depending on the manufacturer.
She said it is always a good idea to check with your pharmacist if the pills
look different or if you have any concerns. She said mistakes are sometimes
made, so it is better to be careful.

Thanks everyone,
I pretty much took all of your advice.  I called the pharmacy and they told me the manufacturer had changed the look of the pills but that they were the same and I had the right ones.  Then I went on TEVA's website where I saw the press release and drugs.com which shows the picture of the pill that is TEVA on onside and 832 on the other just like the new pills.

This still makes me uncomfortable, I hate changes like this....I am full of anxiety but what can I do?

This is one time when Google is your friend.  Do a Google image search with the drug name and manufacturer, it will show you a photo so you can reassure yourself that it is the same pill.  I hate when they change my pills too, but seeing it in a photo makes me feel better that at least it is the right drug.  I think we all hate changes...I think that is one of the biggest parts of anxiety disorders.
