im 24 years old. male. been struggling for 2 months now. started off with bronchitis, now i have anxiety my Drs believe(along with ER Drs.) I get chest pains, bad dizziness, body aches, lost 20 lbs, and bad shortness of breathe. Im really tired of these feelings. they have kept me scared of even leaving my own house. I had all the check ups done (blood tests, ekg, chest xrays) and only thing they found was a low vitamin d2 count. My Dr. prescribed me Ativan which i think worked pretty well, then she tried me on xanax which i absolutley hate. Im happy to know im not alone in this struggle

Hi! I noticed we were around the same age so i thought i would write.  Yeaaa I have had anxiety/panic disorders since high school.  Always chest pains, my throat feels swollen, my eyes feel like they are gonna buldge out of my head and my tension headaches are like instant. It sucks to say the least.  I have been off meds for 8 months and would love to say that I am ok wthout them but i am not.  I am trying some natural stuff which do help a little bit but not enough. I just really dont wanna be on meds again I got like every side affect.  I have been taking an herb called Rhodiola along with Vitamin D and DHA(which is an omega 3).  I still have troubel sleeping or staying asleep. I was on Paxil for about 5 years and i dont really wanna go on it again. I am happy though that ppl have the same prob as me so i can stop thinking i am crazy..right?

I was really thirsty all the tme. When i worked out I would drink like 2 big bottles of water and was still thirsty. I got hot all the time too and sometimesi would get hert palpitations which i found out arent that out of the ordinary.  I also found it harder to lose weight.  I started taking it and lost like 20 lbs but after a awhile i oculd work out 2 hours a day and nothin came off it was weird.  And I wasnt on a huge dose either.  I was on the lowest dosage of it.  I got pretty much all the withdrawl symptoms when i wheened off of it too though

I lost 20lbs in 2 months. Not eating much didnt help. and i have  constant dry mouth also, i try and drink as much as i can but i cant drink much. have you ever had times on yours meds that made you feel "normal" again. And i understand you about the worrying,i worry alot. and then when im not worrying, i make myself worry for no worrying lol.

MOST anxiety happens at the subconscious level.  JUST because you don't feel consciously anxious or had a day or two of calm doesn't mean your mind & body are relaxed.  It can take months of reduced anxiety before a body goes back to a more non-reactive state.
