full blown panic:(
« on: January 23, 2011, 01:36:09 PM »
Hey guys- I am having a rough morning. So I had my baby 6 weeks ago by way of emergency C section. After the delivery my bp spiked to 168/101 pretty consistently so my doc put me on labetalol to bring it down. This drug is a beta blocker so I think it helped with anxiety too. Well it also made me tired and light headed so I cut back from 200 to 100 twice a day. I was fine until last night when I was feeling very anxious and stood up and my heart started racing. I got my bp cuff and took it said my bp was fine 107/68 but my heart rate was 112. WHAT?? Panic set in big time. I took it again sitting down and my bp was the same but my heart rate was 86. What is going on? I really don't want to go to the ER its the same this morning high when I stand and normal in the 70's when sitting. I know we do more studying than anyone so I hoped one of you would have some advise? From the lowering of meds? :(

I know my bp is fine but I can't stand up without my heart jumping out of my chest. So I am stuck in bed. I worry because well I have health anxiety.... But I guess my fear is that there is a blockage or something that is making my heart race.
