Bad depression trigger
« on: January 17, 2011, 04:32:49 PM »
hello folks, im a newbie here and been having problems with depression and anxiety. I will try my best to word what is going on with me as I am not very good at describing things so please bear with me.

i have been diagnosed with: BP type 2
                                              Severe anxiety disorder
                                              Borderline personality disorder
                                              PTSD
Brain injury due to a car accident in 97

There was an incident last June to where I had to call the police because I felt my 14 yo child was threatened (by a friend whom was not on his meds as he is BP as well, my child was never physically touched in any way, and this friend never had any prior convictions), I had asked the police  to just give him a talk but they decided to charge the friend with domestic violence but was later dropped to 12 hours of community service)

Well........... as time went on, the friend did apologize for his actions and has made amends and I decided to have the county attorney drop the charges (because he was never like this before and was quite unbalanced and not taking his meds at the time of the incident)

Anyhow...............Things were going ok till mid december of last year, I recieved via anonymous email of some kind of letter his therapist( we see the same therapist) had snail mailed to my friends attorney, I was very shocked by this letter on how she had wrongfully described me to his attorney (manipulative which is not an accurate description of me and my daughter was named as an antagonist in mine and my friends prior relationship, we were dating but decided to end it early last year because of both of us having mental issues.)

I would like to address this with my current therapist but feel i cant trust her because of this letter that she sent. I am just so angry and depressed and dont know what to do.

Hi mchooka1969 -

There is something very mysterious about a letter allegedly sent from your and your friend's therapist to your friend's attorney making its way to you by anonymous email.

Please talk to your therapist about this, because it just doesn't make sense.

Love, Grandma

Hi Grandma,,,,,,,,,,,Well,,,,,,that is what i am trying to figure out as well,,,,,,,,,,The email i got was anonymous and was not from my therapist.  When I recieved it through my 0201 address, the sender's email was listed as anonymous.com and the subject was "Concerning your therapist (her name)" and inside the email was a pdf file. well,,,,,,,,,,, curiousity got the best of me and i opened and read it and was like......................what the ****? (didnt want to cuss)

the agency logo on the pdf file ( which it looked like a scanned copy of the actual letter itself) was exactly like the agency to where i go to see my therapist.  And it was addressed to my friend's attorney, body of the letter and had my therapist's signature at the bottom.

I feel like I cant even talk to or even try to trust my therapist on a remote level after I read this email.

I decided to delete the letter and find a new therapist. Its really no use dwelling on what was said. Ive got to focus on being well and staying on track.  :winking0008:
