good combo anti-depressant and anti-anxiety med?

I'm looking for a good anti-depressant / anti-anxiety med, not including Effexor.  I was on Effexor 75mg 2x day and it made me feel like a total zombie--sure, I wasn't depressed, but I didn't feel anything.

Right now, I'm on Wellbutrin SR, and I'm concerned that it may be making my newfound anxiety worse.

Any ideas on what works?  I'm equally as interested in what might not work.  I have an appointment with my Pdoc next week to discuss options.

Any benzodiazepene will work wonders for anxiety.  Klonopin, Xanax, Vallium, Ativan, etc.  They are all really great drugs for anxiety.  It is a shame they aren't prescribed more.  Literally saved my life!

All benzos work in the same way but some take longer to kick in or leave your blood stream quicker, so it depend on whether you want a long lasting one that may take an hour to kick in or a shorter acting one that starts working in less than 15 minutes.  Try not to do too much research on these drugs because all you will find is addiction propaganda and none of these drugs are addictive.  They can cause dependency just like the two drugs you had and are taking, so if you decide to stop taking a benzo you need to take it slow.  Other than that Xanax has made my life liveable!
