I am going to quit smoking and use the patch but

I am SO scared to use it. I understand that the patch now is much different then the one I had used years ago. But it did help me quit for a while.

Crazygirl, I know you use it. Does it give you bad dreams? Any side effects from it?

I am scared because I have high blood pressure but I assume it has GOT to be safer then smoking right?

Hey:) Yes! It's better than smoking:) You're scared...I understand. I get scared, too...but I'm not gonna let fear paralyze me into inaction anymore in my life:) Take action...take the patch...and push through your fears:) You'll thank yourself for your rest of your LONG life:) Feel Well, Dancer:)

I've had vivid dreams on the patch but not necessarily bad ones. I went into work one day asking the doctor about the patient we had the prior day and how she made out. The problem? There was no such patient....it was all a dream. I was having trouble differentiating some of my dreams from reality, which thankfully I was able to laugh at. I decided to only wear the patch during the day and not while I slept and that helped.

I ended up quitting for a year and a half but unfortunately stated back up again.
I'm thinking of buying some more patches and starting again though.

My dreams are pretty vivid now because of the meds I am on. Can't imagine when I am on the patch!! I just have to double check with my Dr tomorrow, then I am going out and buying them if she says it is ok.
