Bipolar II disorder

Hi all-

I was recently tested for bipolar II disorder, but I haven't gotten the results back yet whether or not I have it. Can anyone with this disorder tell me what they've experienced and what exactly goes on with bpII?

according to my pdoc i am on the bipolar spectrum somewhere, we just don't know where. i asked her about the different types, and she explained II to me as this: major depression with periods of heightened mood. there's no psychosis or hallucinations or delusions or it would auto matically become I. the periods of heightened mood last several days and must interfere with your life, as does your depression. those periods are "hypomania."
