Sleep aptna
« on: March 04, 2007, 01:52:03 AM »
 Anyone think that maybe sleep aptna could be the reason why my anxiety wont go away  i kinda laugh at this as i type but i have been thinking i do stop breathing about 30-40 times at night from what the sleep tests have shown.Well maybe its killing my brain cells that make me normal.OK i do understand that probably makes no sense but its just one of the many things that i think of to try to make sense of it all.Like why cant i deal with this like i use to.

I have heard that a lot of people with sleeping disorders are misdiagnosed with depression, so you never know.  I am going toa  specialist about my sleeping later this week.  Compared to other people here, my sleep is probably great... because I do sleep....  But I sleep so restlessly.  I toss and turn and even if I go to bed happy, I have so much crap happening in my sleep, I wake up thinking negatively and depressed again.

Wow, glad someone posted about this. I've had exactly this trouble for ages - when trying to get to sleep, or even when actually asleep, I feel like I stop breathing and BANG, bolt upright in bed gasping for breath. Doctor said it was a 'cyclical' thing (hmm, I see, clear as mud) and that it was to do with anxiety. Nothing to worry about apparently. Your body won't stop breathing.
