Is it possible to just suddenly..
« on: October 10, 2010, 01:34:28 AM »
develop a major heart problem? I've had ekg's, an echo, and a 24 hour monitor.. but I feel like something was missed or there's definitely something going on now..
I do have PACS and PVC's everyday, but I keep thinking it's something more than that and I'm just going to drop dead of a fatal arrhythmia ):

the probability of all the tests missing a problem are almost non-existent. I've had all the same tests and worries a year ago. being a smoker, im at risk, but my ticker is in tip-top shape.

your feelings, fears, and abnormal beats are all products of the anxiety about your hearts health.

trust the tests. its all you can do :)

its not normal to just suddenly.develop a problem. like most things in our body it takes time. keep in mind several.studies have now found that PACS AND PVCS are nor.al variations of the heart rate ocvuring in everyone. a cardiologist I speak says That while everyone has them only half of.us.feel them.  no one knows whybit just is. your tests have put you in the clear.
remember it takes a long time for your body to come down off of anxiety and worry especially if its been going for a long time.

Typically, coronary artery disease takes many years to develop, so odds are if your tests are OK,
you should be OK.

Hey there. For many years, the ol' ticker was my biggest HA concern. There was NO possible way that anxiety was causing my heart to shake, rattle, flip, skip, race, flutter, etc (you name it:). There simply was to much "action" happening with my heart for my brain to let my believe it was anxiety / panic...the symptoms were too darn real. Numerous tests (all of them:)...everyone of them checked normal. Trust me and check around the other "heart related" topics here, this insidious little disorder that we have can cause nearly EVERY physical symptom known to medicine. And it especially plays around with our palpitating hearts. Your heart is a crazy strong muscle...and if you have no known organic problems (for which, it seems, you've been tested), it is gonna keep on pumping well for you for many years to come:) I should know, those first heart tests I had were 25 years ago! Feel Well:)
