"tics" with my anxiety
« on: October 01, 2010, 09:53:46 PM »
Is this normal? Do any of you suffer with any unusual tics?? I noticed Im always shaking my foot or leg all the time now, and Im always touching the tips of my fingers to the tip of my thumb back and forth.....Im freaking out that Im going nuts for real!  :sprachlos020:

Is this from anxiety or could it be from the meds? Im on Zoloft. My doc just upped it from 50 to 100.....

Upping medications always has some little side effects as your body adjusts to the dosage.  A little nervous energy isn't anything to worry about.

Yeah I used to tighten and contract my lower left lip and my neck muscle. Sort of a gesture people when the'yre in physical pain, that was my tick. Don't know if this one counts but I also check my pulse unconsciously.

Some people fool with their hair, some roll there fingers along side a table or just sit and tap one finger, when they are sitting stil or thinking. Tics come and go but have been around in people for as long as there have been people I am sure-lol. We (the anxiety prone) just tend to notice things more  :action-smiley-065:
