A day in bed
« on: September 25, 2010, 04:48:53 PM »
So last night i started to feel some anxiety.  I tried not to think about it but I was having trouble.  I know recovery is 2 steps forward, 1 back and today is my backstep.  I didn't sleep much last night and this morning I felt very anxious.  I took my meds at my usual time, they kicked in and I felt ok for a short time.  On days that I'm anxious, thats how it goes.  I tried to do some stuff around the house but I kept feeling the symptoms...dissociation, sweating, tightness in my chest etc but didnt have an attack.  Days like this I basically stay in bed.  I feel safe, comfortable and relaxed.  I don't like having to stay in bed but it's the only thing that seems to help on my bad days.  I have been reading a little but and then resting and reflecting on what I read.  Anyone else feel like staying in bed during bad anxiety days?  At some point I have to get moving to make myself some dinner.  I may try to go down the street to boston market  :happy0151:

Yes!!!  I also feel safe in my bed.  It's warm and cozy and there are no demands and I can cry if I feel like it.  If I'm having a bad day, I spend a lot of time in and out.  I tell my kids I have a headache and they come and chat with me and read to me.  But I try not to make a habit of it...like I have to be feeling pretty severe to allow it.  Otherwise I get up, go outside, try to stay busy.  But yes yes yes I totally know how you feel!

Thats great that you have your kids to keep you company!  All I have is my books, tv and laptop lol  I try not to stay in bed either cause i get restless after a bit.  Today feels like a good day so i don't plan on being in bed much :)

Glad today seems better for you  :happy0151:  For some reason, today's a bad one for me.  I think I'm anxious about going to work in the morning, and also my dh is going out of town for a few days.  Feeling pretty sorry for myself today  :traurig001:  Have a great day, hope it lasts and lasts...enjoy!!

Today is an anxiety day.  I had 2 really good days and today I woke up with tightness in my chest and truble breathing.  I was like...you have got to be kidding me lol  So, i'm riding it out.  I work from home repairing computers and it has been kinda slow...so of course today, i got 3 calls in an hour lol
