Help...
« on: February 21, 2007, 03:37:23 PM »
Well, things had been better since the last time I visited this site [hence why I haven't been logged on here for quite some time] and well, I figured it would all just clear up sometime. But lately my anxiety with Obesophobia [fear of gaining weight] has been kicked into high gear, and I feel that I'm slipping back into my past state. I don't know what to do about this, because I'm afraid of eating anything in large portions.
:( This really is something I need help with, or even just someone to talk to about it.
Does anyone else have this problem? or close?

a couple years ago I was diagnosed with compusive eating disorder, whcih isnt to common and  is pretty much I either binge and purge for long periods of time, to the expreme that it affects my health.  I never own a scale until last august when I bought on simply to wiegh my lugage for an uncoming trip and have become obsessed with it, and enjoyed watching my wieght drop for 3 months. lately it seems as if eating is a game (as awful as that sounds)   and I understand where you are coming from. i dont know about you, but i find that if I write down what I eat then I can look at it from a more resonable perspective and make changes (or atleast try) I know its not as easy as it looks but another alternative (besides therapy) could be to see a nutrisionist.  You never know, it might help.
Good luck, and best wishes
