SOMEONE please reply
« on: September 17, 2010, 10:07:02 AM »
my health anxiety has really ruined my life in the last 3 months, i was convinced i had lymphoma only for 4 doctors and a haematologist and complete blood count to give me the all clear. I still worry and recently i have had numb tingling in my legs and muscle twitches I now think I have MS. The tingling has only happened twice in the last month for about a period of 2mins then it faded away, the muscle twitches and tremors come and go, they are never constant. Can someone please give me some reassurance and could my anxiety cause this?

That is only anxiety, try and think of the tingling as just a result of that, because that's all it is. You do not have lymphoma so try and relax, you need a starting point and to work your way back up to normalcy. Yes your anxiety can cause all of this.

I can see a pattern here just like i did in the past you go from one illness to another you are thinking well if it isnt this it has to be that then..Just dont go down my road of mass testing lisen to your doctors trust me they know more then you think they know..They dont go to med school for 10-15 years to  see things that we dont. They know when REDLIGHTS are flashing somthing isnt right...It becomes a problem with h.a when we dont acept the good new's and move on with are lifes.

For each disorder that doctors cure with drugs..they produce ten others in healthy subjects by inculating them with that pathogenic agent a thousand times more virulent than all the microbes in the world, the idea that one is ill.

All I can say is these are the symptoms I get too. For 9 months. Sometimes they've felt better sometimes they've been worse but they haven't stopped me from carrying on and doing my everyday things. I think if it had been anything other than anxiety they would have.

It's the fear that they could be serious that keeps the symptoms going. I'm really trying to break the cycle.

Get some help. Anxiety is a tough one to beat even with help! Accept that you are ok-you have the results to prove it.
Anxiety can cause so many freaky symptoms. Just read through the posts on this forum to get an idea of what it can do to you! Good luck getting on the road to recovery. It takes a lot of time and effort!
