Hey,

My names Oli. I've been suffering with on and off severe anxiety for the past few months now. It was triggered by a traumatic event which scared me senseless (I thought I was going to die!) Ever since I have had extreme hypocrondria.

So yeah, thats me! I feel a bit crazzzzy.

I'm sorry you got slapped around a bit by anxiety.  Trauma often triggers HA.

I can relate to what you ar feeling. I am new here also. I also feel as if i am a hyprochondriac. I have been running from dr. to dr. trying to find out what is wrong with . Mine also has been going on for the last couple of months and I think it was brought on because i also had a traumatic experience. I had a dr who was unable to get my blood pressure under control. ( i have hypertension). he kept tellng me it was anxiety and to take my xanex. i had a shopping bag full of medication he prescribed that did not work. well, 2 days before i was taking a trip to tenn. to visit my grandkids..I was driving by myself from NJ to tenn. 12 hrs... he decided to drop me as a patient and told me to find another dr. i drove down to tenn with my bp out of control and had to decide what meds to take from the shopping bag of meds i had.. needless to say , while down there my bp went up to 180/110.. I was a stroke ready tohappen.. I called his office and he wouldnt even get on the phone. had the nurse tell me to just take a xanex!!
When i came back to NJ.. had to cut trip short... i went to cardiologist and the testing bagan.. stress test, ekg, echo cardogram etc. more meds.. still now working.. had to find new primary dr who also says it is probably anxiety but bp is still high.. no one seems concerned about gettng it down. more tests,,,blood work, ultra sound of abdomen, now going to colonoscopy and upper GI.
OH yes,, more trauma.. I also may be losing my job...

Anxiety and Panic disorder is a horrible thing to experience and people dont understand unless they have gone through it..
Thank go for these boards.. thank god there is a place we can go to share and know we are not going through this alone.
