How were you diagnosed?

I've been on the hypochondria board for some time but wanted to talk with you all on this board.  I've been suffering from muscle aches and tightness plus debilitating fatigue for nearly 4 months now.  CBC is normal and doctor can't find anything wrong.  I'm wondering if it makes sense to go to a doctor who specializes in CFS. 

How long did it take for your diagnosis?  How did you eventually get your diagnosis?  What were your symptoms?  Thx so much! :)

Hi there,

It took me about 5 years to get a diagnosis. The fatigue hit me first, but that was surrounded with mild depression. The headaches came next, also put down to depression and anxiety. Then came the aches and pains...also depression and anxiety. This went on for years and after the depression lifted the pain was still there. A specialist finally diagnosed CFS/Fibro and since then my Mum has been diagnosed with Lupus- not sure if there is a correlation but seems to me there might be.

If it's just been a few months I would first try diet, exercise and stress management. Give that a really good go. If it still persists then maybe look to a specialist who can shed some light on it for you.

i was Dex two years ago do to presure points done by my nero Doctor and g.i Doctor they say fybro and i.b.s c.f.s all go hand in hand so i have been dex with all three
