nightmares with meaning
« on: August 04, 2010, 04:40:54 PM »
More nightmares as usual. This one was clearly demonic. I feel it was a warning this time. I was fighting a demon with white eye lids painted with pentagrams and numbers. In this dream my husband refused to help me. He kept walking away and refused to help me.

I think its a warning to stay away from someone and I think I know who that person is. How can I just say no? How can I just keep making up excuses to not see them? I refuse to put myself in another position where I could possibly be hurt.in this case I feel even murdered. This dream is scaring me so much. I need help. How do I avoid this situation without causing drama?

I myself went thought a period of years in my 20s when I had regular recurring demonic dreams. At that point in my life I had not yet developed or triggered anxiety disorder--I can look back on this now and understand this was pure spiritual harassment. Yes I am sure many would disagree with me, but I had never had any drugs in my system or anything in my life that would explain these horrible dreams any other way. The only thing that made it go away, was I realized in the middle of one of these dreams that I was dreaming and under attack, and cried out a prayer in my dream for Jesus to make good on His promise to deliver me from evil. ( I am a christian btw). It went away immediately and hasn't been back since, and I am in my 40s now.

I myself am 20. I am christian as well. I have asking god for 4years to help my ocd and to tell me what to do. I believe in many of these dreams he is warning me but as well giving me the answers I have asked for but I never noticed until I had my mother interpret them for me. She has the gift of prophesy and as well is a bible study teacher so I do trust her interpretations. This was the only demonic nightmare I have ever had. Were yours really bad to?

Tomas a Kempis writes that any great spiritual effort is like a fire. With a fire comes smoke: torment, temptation, etc.

Periods of torment and provocation usually precede and co-inhabit radical times of spiritual growth. I'm sure your husband would knock the head off any demon, but as St Paul writes, our only offensive is "the sword of the spirit," namely, the word of God (vis a vis Psalm 91--your facing the pestilence that meanders in the darkness).

Been there! Been through. Reflect on Isaiah 43:1-3 if you have the time.

Psalm 91 is my all time fav! Read it religiously. I think there meant to be warnings. So far they add up very well. Its such a long story
