Has anyone here ever heard of anger disorders?

I had my assessment with my psychologist last week to determine if I really am bipolar or not (my original diagnosis was from my family doctor). At the end of the session, after a ton of questions, she said I don't really fit the text book case of bipolar, but something is there, and the medication is showing signs of improvement, so she "thinks i have it" she also said that she thinks i have some sort of anger disorder. From what I've been reading, I am guessing, intermittent explosive disorder (ha what a name!).

The reason she said she can't fully confirm the bipolar diagnosis is because my episodes seem to happen more often then what the literature says. The people at my group therapy seem to think I am right on track with how someone with bipolar acts. I mean, yea they aren't doctors, but a group of twenty people who have been diagnosed for years would have some insight...
"
So after all that I feel sort of lost now. It's like I came out with her saying "well you got something" but now how am I supposed to deal with that? I think I am too caught up on the name of what I have...

I seem to have been getting worse ever since, my moods are out of control, my irritability super high, my brain feels a mess again, like it did before my medication.

Really I am just rambling here...  Needed to get all that off my chest. If anyone has any insight on anger disorders, combined with bipolar that would be great.

I had to do a project in my psychology class last month and mines was on a specific anger disorder called intermittent Explosion Disorder (IED)....
The is a type of impulsive disorder and is characterized my uncontrollable outbursts of anger. I don't really can't diagnose you, but if you can't control your anger and get angry at random moments then you might have IED. For example, someone with IED can get really angry if someone else makes a harmless joke at them. People with IED have and uncontrollable urge to be violent. Some of the symptoms that occur before they commit an outburst is heart palpatations, trembling, and some people with IED hear voices in their head. Then they feel guitly after an episode. And one medication used to treat IED is also used on bipolar patients called Litium.
