gerd questions

i have had some bad acid reflux since my anxiety spun out of control. my doc had an abdominal ultrasound done and there were 2 stones but he doesn't think the stones are related everything else was normal, liver, aorta etc it was a very thorough ultrasound. tonight i am bloated my burping sounds hollow discomfort below sternum and a burning sensation above the left breast and in the arm pit thats intermittent and goes all the way to my finger tips. there is no actual  pain but there is bitter liquid coming up occasionaly when i burp. (sorry bit gross)
usually tums settles it right down but not tonight.
does this sound like the reflux is kicking up a notch into something like gerd?

             GERD is basically chronic reflux.  Sure sounds like GERD to me , There is a similar post on the relationship between GAD and GERD.     Greg
