7 weeks Pregnant and having Anxiety Bad!
« on: June 29, 2010, 03:07:24 PM »
Hello. I am writing on here to discuss with other people who suffer from panic disorder my situation. I am not here to offend anyone but would really like to know if anyone out here has been through. I am 7 weeks pregnant and having alot of anxiety right now. Seems to be all day long. I was recently pregnant back in Nov and lost in Jan. This one now was not planned came on unexpectedly. I am so confused and my emotions are in a horrible way. I dont wnat this pregnancy and I asked the doc to terminate it. Sounds terrible yes it does but I cant help what my mind is thinking. I have no excitement for this pregnancy like the last one and no desire to do this. I have neausea all day dizziness on and off and get nervous to go anywhere. The heat is making it worse. I also must let you know that if you do respond to me please do not tell me anything fearful for that is what alot of my issues are is fear. I fear everything! Just looking to see if anyone else out there knows of or has gone through this. I am being told it is a temporary thing and it will subside.

Oh you poor thing. dang I wish you weren't so scared.  BUT it is understandable that you are.

I lost two babies back to back in /93.  And hell if my 3rd pg I wasn't terrified.  I was so scared I would lose the baby.  I was a basket case.  Now in your situation you are reacting the opposite way--wishing you werent.  But in both cases it is from fear. You are afraid of this happening again so, IMO--I'm just giving you my dime store shrink spiel-- you don't want to be pregnant.  It is too scary to want a baby again and then losing him/her.  So all of these feelings are welling up.

Now to me it sounds like a healthy pg---you feel like crap--nauseous and dizzy and the heat is doing a number on you.  That is part of pregnancy, unfortunately.  In the beginning, too, your hormones REALLY are in charge and that can make you feel completely whacky!!!  My sis in law always said that she LOVED the 2nd trimester of preggo.  She says she could be continually in the 2n trimester her whole life cuz that's when the happy hormones kick in.

I go you, honey, it is darned scary right now.  But don't fret too much, things get better.  If you want to PM me you can.  I promise I won't scare you.

MOST anxiety happens at the subconscious level.  JUST because you don't feel consciously anxious or had a day or two of calm doesn't mean your mind & body are relaxed.  It can take months of reduced anxiety before a body goes back to a more non-reactive state.
