Heather'speppermint/fennel/ginger pills for IBS
« on: June 10, 2010, 12:06:00 PM »
Hi everyone I am new here and find this to be a great site.  Just entered the Lobby to chat for the fisrt time. Very nice people.   I have IBS with GAD.  My GAD comes from my IBS. If my stomach is ok I'm usually oK, until recently things took a real bad turn for me.  I've read on here a little about some people who have tried Buscopan and Heather's peppermint/fennel/ginger pills for IBS. I'd love some feedback on how it has helped any of you. Also can either of these be taken when On Klonazipam and Celexa?    I would love to be able to find something that would keep my stomach more settled.   Because if I could do that then the anxiety would be barely there. I've been on these new meds for about a month and a half now and things are improving. The anxiety has gotten better. But I still freak out if my stomach acts up. Happened today- was supposed to be at an appt. -but had to  reschedule.  During this time right now when I've had a good day and I'm out and my stomach is ok- I'm hardly having any anxiety- almost like my old self.  But I know I'm not better yet. I've also been out of work ofr a month and half because of this. I actually had some full blown panic attacks at work--haven't had that experience in ages and haven't had one again, but the anxiety was effecting my work so I chose to take a leave of absence and work on this.    I had some rough things go on in my life the last 3 years and the therapist said it all sort of just caught up with me- even though I thought I handled it all pretty well. Wasn't feeling all this when I was going through the bad stuff.   She says it's kinda like when you have a heart attack - you don't just all of a sudden have a heart attack for no reason-there were things going on in your body that lead up to it. Makes sense I think.
Sorry this is so long- once I started typing I just kept going with my thoughts. This is my first post.
So any information would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
