intrusive thoughts

How the heck do u control these thoughts? Ever since I started having "heart worry" related panic attacks I have been getting them CONSTANTLY! I don't know how to control them. And they have been getting so bad that the intrusive thoughts make the physical symptoms worse then eventually convince my HA that I really do have this awful medical problem. I could really benefit from some advice on how to help keep the intrusive thoughts at bay...its once again taking over my entire life.... Thank u in advance

here is what my book says (overcoming HA):

Intrusive thoughts:

We'll be emphasizing the importance of recongnizing that thoughts abouty your health are just that - - thoughts, not reality.  Learning to accept these negative thoughts and images willingly as 'just thoughts' and not buying into them is an important part of overcoming health anxiety.

easier said than done, i know, but it's just part of the HA we have to accept.
