sooooo, i was wondering

sometimes when im sleeping and i wake up in the middle of the night and i cant go back to sleep, my thoughts immediately run back to everything that i have to get done. and i almost exaggerate in my head the things that i have to accomplish to the point where i am so wide awake that its impossible for sleep and just wake up or i feel sick and overwhelmed, like i wont be able to finish tasks, that in reality i am more than capable of accomplishing. 

its really frustrating and i dont like to wake up in a stressed mood like that or lose sleep.
does anyone have some advice as to how i could calm myself down enough to at least get a little more sleep?

Funny you should bring this up at this moment. I just spoke with my Doctor about this last week. He suggested that I write down the things that are racing in my mind before I go to sleep and if I am to wake up, keep a notepad at my bedside stand to write things down and let them go. Then I am able to fall back asleep.
