Important Update on Chat Rooms!
« on: May 01, 2010, 11:04:20 AM »
Dear Members:

The latest integrated version of the chat software has been re-installed. This time however, I think I discovered what was causing the "revolving door" issue and fixed it. I also am fairly confident that I have discovered why some of the smiles where not showing up and I may have even found and fixed a few other bugs and glitches in the process.

I removed the non-integrated chat rooms this morning. Not only was it necessary to register separately in order to use it (big inconvenience) but people from outside of the forum were able to easily get into the chat room and even pose as other people without having to go though the normal registration/verification process. If you were chatting with someone you could never assume that they were really who they claimed to be or an imposture. This was one of the main reasons for re-installing the new, integrated chat software.

While I think many of the glitches have been fixed now, it is possible that others may still exist. When these are brought to my attention, I will make every attempt to fix them (if I am able) as soon as possible. So to summarize, this new chat room should be...

* More secure.
* Fewer Glitches.
* Fully integrated (ie; no separate account needed to chat).

Thank you for your patience. There will be no more chat software installs now until subsequent, newer versions are released.

NOTE: If you run into any problems with the new chat, clearing your browser's cache and/or history may correct them. You may also need to clear your Flash Cache. Please see the instructions below for how to clear your Flash Cache...

Our chat rooms use Flash. Flash has it's own cache. If you experience any weird problems or any problems at all, you should first log out of the chat rooms and then clear your Flash cache. This is done by going to Macromedia's website and using their online tool. Scroll down until you see "www.anxietyzone.com" and/or "anxietyzone.com" and then click on the "Delete Website" button. Once your finished, return here and log back into the chat rooms. The chat rooms may not look or work right until you do this. Here's the URL...
