A few times recently I've woken up in the middle of the night, and it feels like my arms and legs are very heavy, like it's hard to move them as though I've just gone to the gym. It fades after a few minutes, does anyone else ever get this?

I used to get this a lot in the past when I had intense anxiety. It was especially bad with my arms, it felt as though they were made of lead. I can only conclude that it was caused by anxiety since when my anxiety improved the sensation went away but it was horrible at the time.

I'm glad someone else has had this, I've had it occasionally but it was really bad last night, and it isn't something I've heard of before with Anxiety. Sure enough!

yep it happens to me.

It is part of the natural sleep process.  I forget the term for it though--it's early and its been a long week.   :winking0008:

MOST anxiety happens at the subconscious level.  JUST because you don't feel consciously anxious or had a day or two of calm doesn't mean your mind & body are relaxed.  It can take months of reduced anxiety before a body goes back to a more non-reactive state.

Now that's a good way of looking at it, early and a long week!
