Hello Everyone Newbie here .
« on: April 06, 2010, 12:59:06 PM »
My name is Kevin and I am dealing with some strange feelings lately that started with some weird sensations just as I doze off to sleep.Feelings like a shaking or buzzing all over my body head and neck included .It is just when I start to fall off to sleep. Has anyone ever heard of such a thing happening with anxiety ?

Yep I've had that.  It is disconcerting but anxiety related at least in my experience.

MOST anxiety happens at the subconscious level.  JUST because you don't feel consciously anxious or had a day or two of calm doesn't mean your mind & body are relaxed.  It can take months of reduced anxiety before a body goes back to a more non-reactive state.

Thanks for the reply ..I am glad its just not me going though this.I have tried taking a sleeping pill right before bed and that seems to dull me out past the strange buzzing feeling but I don't like to take them but I was desperate to get some good sleep.

Thanks :)

buzzing used to concern me but based on how long I've buzzed and the amount of posts in the Health Anxiety folder, it is very common and apparently not deadly.
