feeling of tightness around face/head
« on: March 25, 2010, 06:39:09 PM »
I've never had this before but the past 3 days I've had a feeling of tightness around my scalp and my cheeks. I don't have a sinus problem and heard this could be caused my anxiety. Is there anything I can do to get rid of this? Any advise would be helpful..it's very uncomfortable.

Thanks

The "head ban" tightness can be a symptom of anxiety.  How's your night sleep?

If you want a cheap therapeutic book buy Claire Weeks, "Hope and Help for Your Nerves."

She has a section where she talks about symptoms like yours.

You could always try a neck or shoulder massage to increase blood flow...

even if it doesn't work it feels good  :happy0151:

Thanks for the replies. I was starting to freak myself out thinking it was my blood pressure.  I have the Claire Weekes "hope and help for your nerves" but I haven't read it in a long time. I don't remember reading about the head band but I guess I was concentration on the other symptoms I had at the time. I'm not sleeping well and even tried changing my pillow but that made it worst. I did get a migraine headache last week and noticed the tension around my head started after that. I'm thinking of seeing a chiropractor next week for a message..hope that helps.

Thanks for the advise
