TEH CURE! (It worked for me, at least)
« on: March 23, 2010, 08:36:44 PM »
Hey, community, this is your  new friend Alpha Soldier
Tonight, we have - TEH CURE!!!!!!!!
For me it all really started one day, when i really got scared (not going to tell the thought that started it all, so you don't start thinking it as well). That one little thought soon created a whole tree of thoughts, from religious to existential fears. I tried to solve them, but this only fed the obssession (Pure-O) and created new thoughts.
I have some tips to you that worked for me. You have to, day-by-day, stop the vice of thinking. Try to drive the thoughts away. Soon, you'll the vice will wilt, as your body will start to forget the negative experiences and get used to the abscence of the thoughts. My psicanalist said I needed more social contact, maybe it works too. Also, self-motivation helps to eliminate fear
For further help, read Emotional Intelligence for Daniel Goleman or search the internet for the free treatment of a guy named Derek Soto.
I have to admit, however, I still have anxiety issues, despite being almost free of intrusive thoughts. Those issues I think they are reminiscent of the thoughts.
But I have a challenge to all you: Everyone here, once you feel a upgrade in your situation, post here and motivate the others! Let's work like a team! We all have the same curse! Only in different shapes! TO TEH VICTORY!

PS: I`m sorry if I made any grammar mistakes, I'm from Latin America  :goofy:

MOST anxiety happens at the subconscious level.  JUST because you don't feel consciously anxious or had a day or two of calm doesn't mean your mind & body are relaxed.  It can take months of reduced anxiety before a body goes back to a more non-reactive state.
