Supplements for GAD, IBS?
« on: February 24, 2010, 12:38:50 PM »
Hey here all,

Along with the usual anxiety symptoms, I have been dealing with IBS-like symptoms.
Loose stool, frequent bowel movements, gas, etc.
Anyone have any ideas what OTC supplements are available that may help?

Thanks,

Drew

All of the above is great advice that I try to stick to.  Also I take OTC tablets called Buscopan.  I don't know if they are available worldwide ( I am in the UK ).  They are an anti-spasmodic that helps with all my churning and bloating and they also help ease constipation and diarrhoea.  I think Colpermin, also available here, does the same.  My GP has prescribed Mebeverine to take before meals and that's supposed to relieve the bloating, constipation etc but I find that does not work as well for me as Buscopan.  I must say that I've recently discovered that the more walking I do has really made a difference also.
