Medication table-different groups
« on: January 12, 2006, 04:51:03 PM »
This shows the differences of meds, which may help you discover what is right for you.  If  several meds from the same category do not work maybe you can try something that works on a different part of your brain.  If something does work but the side effects are too much you can try something else in the same category. PLEASE TALK WITH YOUR DOCTOR ABOUT THESE OPTIONS AND GET A PROFESSIONAL OPINION AS TO WHAT IS RIGHT FOR YOU.

HOPE THIS HELPS...I know it has helped me allot:

Hey Apple,
Thank you so much for your input. You are the only one who has replied to me at all. Hopefully after my nursing exam today I should calm down a little bit. On Sunday night I ended up going to the ER with my mom at 1:30 in the morning panicking because I was going on my 5th sleepless night. They gave me a half of an ativan and it put me out within a half an hour they gave me a script for 8 more pills and I'm only supposed to take them before bed, but this doesn't take care of the breathing problems during the day. I do have an appointment to go see my dr tomorrow, so hopefully I can be relieved of this soon, 13 years is long enough ,damn it! We were up at my dad's and I couldn't breath, so I asked my mom if she would go to the hospital with me so that they could give me something to help me sleep, and my wonderful loving understanding husband came out into the living room screaming at me waking up all 14 people who were at my dad's that if my lungs were collapsing that I'd be dead already and this and that,he just does not understand this whole thing. It is so frustrating!!!!!! Nice to meet people who do!

I'm glad you got something to help you sleep.  Bring this table in to your doctor.  Tell him everything that is going on, if you need to write it down.  Your right...you have suffered long enough.

I'm sorry your husband is so insensitive and naive right now. :angry-smiley-034:  Maybe after seeing the doc. he may start to understand this is beyond your control and your not looking for attention. After all...who wants this kind of attention anyway?!!  We would love to not have these problems and would love to handle thing like everyone else.

Good luck to you today and tomorrow...let me know how things go

And take care...you will get thru this

I'm not sure which catagory but you could ask your doctor.  I found this chart and dont know of other meds.

I think one part is seritonin and the other is adrenal.  Dont quote me tho...I'm not a doctor but this is what I believe to be true.
