Muscle twitches (offering some re-assurance)
« on: January 22, 2010, 03:01:41 PM »
I thought this might be good reading for someone who is having muscle twitches and needs a bit of re-assurance that it's not anything else:

http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/603851/twitching_muscles_most_common_cause.html?cat=50

I recently relapsed over this twitching that has plagued me since last summer.

I can be in a great mood, clear headed, and no chest pain. But, that doesn't mean that the anxiety is fully gone. NOW I finally realize that I don't have an electrolyte imbalance or disease. I had anxiety this whole time when I did not. This has been going on since last summer.

I've finally accepted that all my aches, pains, twitches, have not been my diet/exercise/lifestyle, but rather, just my anxiety.

I'm so relieved to find that article! I'm so happy I finally know what was causing all the cramps and twitches. I didn't think that had anything really to do with anxiety! YIPPIE!!!

this is a very nice article.  And I do hope it re assures the twitchers out there..

I noticed that you posted this very similar post in the Panic Folder.  It is more lengthy so I'm going to post the link to that post and lock this one.  Just trying to keep things neat and tidy.   :winking0008:

MOST anxiety happens at the subconscious level.  JUST because you don't feel consciously anxious or had a day or two of calm doesn't mean your mind & body are relaxed.  It can take months of reduced anxiety before a body goes back to a more non-reactive state.
