Question please help me!!!
« on: December 10, 2006, 05:06:00 PM »
Hey everyone, I was wondering if you all think that bad posture would cause a sore place in you back?? I have this spot in my back that hurts and feels like a bruise only when you push on it, it doesnt hurt or ache any other time, only when you push on it, There is no visable bruise or anything on the outside, but when you push on it, it feels like its bruised. Does that make any sense? Its been hurting for a while, but I notice I have pretty bad posture and slouch a lot, when I am slouching, its hurts in the exact spot my spine is slouching in, if that makes any sense, I had an epidural a year ago when I had my son and I wondered if it had anything to do with that, he said that where it was hurting was way too high, I want to go to another doctor anyways, I told him a couple weeks ago about my back, do you know what he said????? He said, " well technically and type of pain in your body could be a symptoms of cancer, do I think thats what it is??? No, but if It keeps bothering you let me know and we will look more into it!!!"   what the hell kinda answer is that??? Now Im really freaked out and scared and I just want to know what is causing it!! Also its only on the right side of my spine, not the left. If you pull or twist something in your back does it take forever to heal??? Please help me with your opinions!!!!

yes, i worry about muscle pains all the time.  i strain a muscle in my back and it takes forever to heal.  i have a nerve right now that i feel like is pinched and every time i push on it, it feels the same as you explained.  and yes, poor posture is not my best friend either.  it does not help matter.  in addition to that, you have anxiety muscle tension, so your body is even more susceptible to pains, from strains, pinches, kinks etc.  not to worry.  sound like you just have a piched ner or kink in your back.  i could see how both could feel like a bruise.

Hey,

Yes, I have that and I have for years.  I get migraines and every time I get one, it comes in my left temple.  I can also feel a swelled vein in my temple that pulses when this happens and it isn't just me because I have let others feel this and it is definitely there.  Another thing, when I was getting a lot of headaches, I suddenly noticed a big and hard lump in my temple and I swore I had a tumor.

After a visit to a Neurologist and a CT scan, they found nothing.  Apparently, it is normal for people to have these "bumps" develop.  I have no idea what it is, but 10 years later, it's still there and I am healthy...until I learn the symptoms of another disease!  In fact, a Radiologist I know says he found several of these on his head and has seen many of these throughout his career and they are nothing to worry about, but of course, have it looked at.  It's usually nothing to worry about.

Dont you love when a Dr. gives you an assbackward answer like that.  You could just punch him because he has NO IDEA what he said to you.  I magnify that 1000 times too.  Thats definatley NOT the answer we H want to hear.  Stupid.  Anyway, I have a sore on my left side too that wont go away.  I dont think its anything to worry about.  Give it some time. blessings

Within the last four months I went to my doc hysterically crying because I had a sore spot under my breast. She could not feel anything and sent me for a mammogram. It was negative. I might have pulled a muscle. However, the spot is still tender and I could not leave it alone. I would touch and press and it would hurt. I have gone on med's and I now leave that spot alone. It is not throbbing anymore. I still think they may have missed something but probably not. I think it is just taking time to heal, especially since I wouldn't leave it alone until now.
