Throat again
« on: December 17, 2009, 08:04:30 PM »
For those of you who read my previous post, I recently had an abcess in my left last bottom molar and had to wait a month to get it out.  I've been on 3 different antibiotics.  I finally had it extracted Tuesday and I'm still sore and my jaw and neck are still swollen.  I also went to and ent last week just in case I had anything else going on since my throat was red and irritated with white spots on it.  He scoped my throat and said he didn't see anything but thought all the irritation was caused by drainage.  I'm getting very upset about this sore throat not going away.  I cant enjoy the holidays because I don't feel good from my neck up.  Has anyone out there ever had a sore throat for a long time, I just want it to go away, I wish there was something I could gargle with to make it disappear.  Sorry I'm sounding like a broken record.

OMG Enjoy Christmas!  About 6 months ago I had an infection in my tooth, and the whole right side of my throat was actually numb, and hurt.  This seriously lasted a month, i was freak in out.

Even when my dentist said it would eventually go away I couldn't stop having anxiety over it!!

I hope this helps!!

Hey Chicka---

LISTEN to Tigerpaw here....   :winking0008:

It will take a while for your body to get back to normal.  don't rush it.  You will be fine.  Enjoy your holidays.

MOST anxiety happens at the subconscious level.  JUST because you don't feel consciously anxious or had a day or two of calm doesn't mean your mind & body are relaxed.  It can take months of reduced anxiety before a body goes back to a more non-reactive state.
