The other day i was at my docs for a check up cos hes put me on a beta blocker 30mg a day anyway he said avoid situations where you might panic! Now why would he say this!? Will it do my heart harm if i have a panic attack while on the blockerr?

No.  They wouldn't perscribe a medication that would be harmful during a panic attack to anyone who suffers from panic attacks.

Does he already know of your anxiety issues? If that's the case he's probably just suggesting that from a preventative perspective, meaning that if you avoid certain triggers you'll be less likely to panic.

Just like the old line... "Doc, it hurts when I (blank)" - "well then don't do that!"

Yeah he knows! just  thought about it earlier and then freaked out! but it does make sense why would he give me something which would be dangerous during an attack lol stupid mind runs away with its self sometimes! thanks for your replys

My mind can't stop running away with itself, if I could get a handle on that I would be anxiety free :)
