I wrote this last month when i found out my father had cancer.i read it when i need a lift to carry on.


Soldiers carry on, carry strong
knows what to do when things go wrong
always keeps his weapon near
doesn't know the meaning of fear

Stays alert ,on point,prepared to deploy
his enemies he will always destroy
Standing tall but makes no noise
always forced to keep his poise

Known as a hero,even though he does not feel
the gore of war is all too  real
bombs will drop,hearts will stop
the hill is high to get atop

Over the horizon,the inferno blazes
the noise is mute,the solider gazes
all his memories have faded
his soul is whole,but now is jaded

The battles won,the war has cease
the casualties shall lay beneath
survivors live and carry on
Soldiers carry on,carry strong

I really like that poem, we all soldier on through our lives. Sometimes people get hurt on the way. Thank you for sharing that poem.

your right on about the message i was trying to get across,we all need to solider on,and tackle are problems like its war,know your enemy,and you will be able to get the upperhand.
