Please tell me that I'm paranoid

Still on lung worries.  Trying to get over a cold that was almost 3 weeks ago now but still having mucous that doesn't always seem to want to break up so it sometimes feels like there is something in my chest.  Worse than this, before I got sick I noticed when I whisper that there is sometimes a whistling noise made by my breath--I have breathed in and out normally a million times to make sure it isn't there when breathing.  I have no perspective anymore about what is normal and what isn't----please tell me some whistling while whispering is normal and that it doesn't mean that there's anything growing in my lung causing the whistle....

Its nothing to worry about.  I get the same thing.  Believe it or not, a large percentage of these things are caused by acid reflux.  I ddin't even know I had it, and then after going on prevacid it got better.  May be something you want to try or discuss with your doctor.

Thank you so much-you're a lifesaver--just needed to hear that someone else has noticed this too.  I actually do have problems with acid reflux so it seems pretty logical.  Thanks again.
