a little give, a little take
« on: November 29, 2005, 05:55:49 PM »
i just now realized that i do, on occasion, have OCD experiences. it seems like the more i read, the more i have. my psychology teacher said that people don't realize it when someone has an anxiety disorder, so don't feel uncared for if no one has offered a hand. it's not so noticeable. she started listing off the symptoms and i was sitting in my chair slowly recognizing i was, at that moment, experiencing all of those problems. also, if anyone has paranoid schizophrenia, could you please clarify the way it works. i think i may have that too. :(

I think I am going to find myself replying to every posting in the area....LOL...
I myself have tendencies towards OCD.  It, thankfully doesnt seem to disrupt my every day life.  I remember as a kid though, it did.  My daughter has OCD.  Moderate.  She is on Lexapro to counteract it. (she is 13)  It has made a huge difference for her.  She can sleep, is more emotionally stable, and doesnt give feeling to innate objects anymore. ( She used to bring her pencil to bed with her because she felt sorry for it being left all alone)
I think everyone has OCD tendencies, how it affects your life is how you deal with it.
