tattoo cause lymph nodes to swell?

I just got a tattoo done last Friday,lower left leg,near the ankle. Noticed on Sunday that a vein on my upper left leg,just below the knee was popping out,is there a lymph node there that has swelled up? Can a tattoo cause that? Secondly,i don't know if it was there before i had the tattoo and that has gotten me worried? But can tattoos cause that? I also had some pain on my left groin on Tuesday but it went away the next day but came back for awhile again today but no swelling/popping up there. Pls advice.21 year old male here.

This is an interesting thought... one that I never really thought of.  The logic behind it makes sense I guess because a tattoo is essentially a wound.  I will share with you this..  I have many many tattoos.  I have full sleeves and a chest piece.  and I have a "swollen" gland or "semi-swollen" gland... whatever (the level of swollen that my doc isn't concerned)..in my neck that has been like that since I can remember.  I never really thought of my tattoos as a culprit but I've been working on them for years now, so maybe they have had something to do with it.

Interesting - how does the body process all that ink? If the skin is a large organ, does it register the ink as a foreign substance? Don't mean to freak anyone out. ..

I have two of them and I don't have this issue but considering the thought, that very well could be. It is a foreign substance. I seriously think it is nothing to worry about. Swollen nodes could be anything. Majority of the time, it is nothing at all. Just ask the doctor what they think. Could be just like decorated.
