tummy hurts :(
« on: September 15, 2009, 01:46:14 PM »
Over the last 2 months since my anxiety has skyrocketed again I've had some bowel movements that are watery and others that are lose. Some are strange colors too ranging from green to reddish orange. I know tha anxiety can cause this. Some are also somewhat normal too. I was really upset about 2 days ago and this morning I had another watery one... is this the body catching up? Cause my anxiety is pretty low now. It seems like 1-2 days after the initial attack is when this happens. I'm 24 so I don't know if anything could seriously be wrong, but it can be scary! Anyone else have experience with this? I have been eating more fiber, which has been in turn hurting my tummy as well... it even says on the box that a sudden increae in fiber will do that. I just seem to go back and forth between normal and watery but probably more watery as I have been in constant anxiety with these mole issues I've bene having the last 2 weeks.

Speaking of the moles, I went to the derm again yesterday and got the one from my head removed... a HUGE source of my anxiety. And I mean like awful, I was constantly checking it.. like every 2 hours! And i was convinved it was changing. OMG it was awful... but now that the mole is gone I can't do it anymore. And actually it shaved right off... and he said there didn't look like any roots so it shouldn't grow back. So I hope that means it will come back normal. It was small about 5 years ago and gradually grew to the size of a pencil eraser. He also took another off my back... so this will be 4 moles biopsied. Is it common for them to just biopsy anything and everything? I never thought I would have skin issues. He said he wants me back in 4 months and then every 6 months if everything is okay. I mean I don't think I have any more moles than a normal person. And my other one came back mildly dysplastic and he cut it out and stitched me up (originally the office told me they only do nomrla and severe dysplatics and just watch the mild ones!) I go back in two weks to get my stictches out.

Thanks guys so muchi don't know where I'd be without this forum. Marc and whoever else were right, the procedure at the drs was painless! I was scared about that a lot.

Well, since a diet low in fiber leads to constipation... logically if you all of a sudden increase the fiber, you will get very much the opposite of constipation. Which it seems you're getting. Give your body time to adjust, or maybe tone it down if you're eating a lot all at once. If it says it on the box, then clearly it is a very, very common problem.

And yes, derms will generally biopsy anything suspicious because it's such a simple procedure, and then once it's in a jar, you simply never have to worry about it again. You'll notice from most posts here from people that have been to derms say that biopsies are common. Often, a derm will remove something even if they don't think it's suspicious, but see that you're worried about it.

My stools are never consistent, they never have been. The majority of the time they are normal, but it is not uncommon for me to have watery/loose stools or diarrhea (not severe) even once a week. I have always been this way.  I think a lot of it has to do with my diet.  I eat alot of carbs and do get quite a good amount of fiber.  I've never been constipated in my life.  I also stay pretty well hydrated.  My bowel movements are also affected the week of my period.  I tend to have looser stools and diarrhea more frequently during this time.  I've read that this is fairly common.
