Tips

Hi All,

Just a quick update on the OCD situation.

I have found since going to the gym, my phobia of germs has decreased. I have no choice but to use the machines and touch the machines in order to use them and this has helped me a little knowing that alot of people use them.

Of course there is always a BUT, each time a thought starts to go away, i know i am getting another one. Like bugs, i am scared one will crawl into my ear, and i am scared they will hatch eggs in me and i won't know and they will be in there for ages and make me stupid and take over my whole body.

it sucks!! my fiance is so good with me though, he gives me reassurance all the time with things cause he knows it helps.

It is a huge step for me because i am doing a few things at once.

I am getting out there and been social and doing stuff on my own without having to have someone there all the time and i am using machines at the gym that are used by the public, which is helping me with my whole germs in public fear.

I recommend it to anyone  :party0006:

Janey,

It's great that you're getting out there and going to the gym too. I guess it's almost summer down there. Beach weather is always a good motivator to get exercising. I'm jealous, here in Canada it's windy and raining. Can't complain too  much since on the west coast, we have the mildest climate in Canada. Only a couple days of snow a year here.

Keep up the good work! You can do it!

Thanks Rachel.

Yeah the hot weather down here is a bit of a motivator!!

I think it has come at a good time though when i was becoming a hermit.

I think i would much rather be cold than hot, especially here in Australia!!

Hope you are doing well and by the way make sure you keep us posted on your Aunt's party.

You can do it as well  :grinning-smiley-003:
