blood on toilet paper

Can this happen from wiping excessively or too much? I mean, is that area easy to irritate with wiping?

Yep! Especially if you have hemmies or (if you're a girl) I think that it can be easier to do damage during certain times of the month (hormones or something).

Blood on the toilet paper is pretty common after going to the bathroom.
It can be due to straining too much, wiping too hard and or often,
Hemorrhoids, of having a hard stool pass through. I was told by my
GI physician that the bleeding should be investigated if there is a large
amount of blood, the blood is in the bowl or if it persists. When I was a young man
of around 25, I went to the bathroom and there was quite a bit of blood in the
bowl and on my toilet paper. I got concerned and went to a colorectal surgeon.
He gave me a flex sig and it turned out to be a massive Hemorrhoid and when I
went to the bathroom, the stool rubbed into it causing the bleeding. I would not
be overly concerned.

Yep exactly what Marc said!

Small bits of blood on the toilet paper is pretty much always just a little something around the opening. The bright red blood is generally indicative of fresh blood resulting from a tear, excessive wiping, hemms, etc.

ewwwww marc.  and ouch too.

Yep it is possibly hemmies.  sometimes you can have them on the inside near the anus.  I think they are called fissures then--but don't quote me.

MOST anxiety happens at the subconscious level.  JUST because you don't feel consciously anxious or had a day or two of calm doesn't mean your mind & body are relaxed.  It can take months of reduced anxiety before a body goes back to a more non-reactive state.

Marc- my ex had that. Very very dramatic, but very unserious!
I often get a small smear of red blood due to enthusiastic wiping or being veggy...  :sprachlos020: :laugh3:
