Think I am making some improvements
« on: July 28, 2009, 09:57:43 PM »
Today was sucha  great day. I finally had a good nights sleep and woke up feeling pretty good. I went to the ENT, he said my tonsil was a bit swollen so he put me on an antibiotic, but he did the scope up my nose and down my throat and said everything looked great and my symptoms sounded just like acid reflex. I left feeling positive that all was well, and then I had my walk through on the house we are buying. I had no anxiety or physical symptoms, I was just happy for the first time in weeks.

So now it is almost 10pm and I am so proud that I had a great day but now I have this tingling sensation on the left side of my head and face. I am trying not to get worked up which is why I came to post here instead of googling and starting the vicious cycle. I took a xanax to see if it will make the tingling stop (and if it does then I will know for sure that it is the anxiety doing it).

So please help me not ruin this fantastic day I had and talk to me about this tingling and tell me that even though I do not feel any anxiety at all today, this could still be an anxiety symptom

Thanks guys

This absolutely could be an anxiety symptom. There are quite a few posts on here about how even if you don't feel consciously anxious, your body can still react to stressors. Also, it can take some good amount of time for your body to come down off the anxiety high, so to speak. It will still be on high alert even when your mind feels calmer. This is a very frustrating thing for me, that my mind has gotten much better but I am still having a lot of physical symptoms, though they are gradually getting better. The physical symptoms make you want to jump right back into the anxiety stream.

But I am so, so happy to hear how well you've done today, it really gives me a lot of hope for my own troubles. Great news from the ENT as well.  I hope you continue to have good days and keep feeling better.

I was thinking that the tingling may be the antibiotic starting to work, and taking down some swelling!
